folderNOTES: We unexpectedly had an opportunity to perform at Jibber Jabber again this month but only managed to bring together a Trio (Dino, Tim & Laurie) minus the Bass … It was an interesting and diverse crowd and we felt we had the licence to be a bit more abstract, patient and quiet … here’s the result:

NOTES: After another long break we happened to be free on the same night
1) after a Miles Davis “Waterbabies” mood, it gets pretty funky in here!
2) mellow moments – a lullaby for Laurie
3) Post-funk to Post-punk meanderings – multiple morphings
4) slow subtle stirring shifters
5) Wacked-out – I imagine a disoriented 17th-century European soldier marching in battle with ever-deepening anxiety and dissociation

folderNOTES: After a long break we happened to be free on the same night …  with Will on bass… A nice set of recordings, particularly 1&2; 1) an upbeat vamp with an interesting riffy twist about midway, 2) a meandering exploration of contrasting forms (starts slow and visits some very different places), 3) a faux-jazz Klezmeresque fusion, 4) Fugal Blues (my favourite of the evening) steady flowing lamenting
